“Geez Louise.” -Thelma

The everlasting brilliance of Geena Davis and Suzy Sarandon. Hans Zimmer out the gate, the best era of hair, sexy Brad Pitt, and glorious southern accents! There’s Thelma and there’s Louise and that’s all you need to know. And just like the greatest duos of all time; Tom and Jerry, Bonnie and Clyde, Bert and Ernie, Bibble and Dizzle, once bonded, their lives are completely changed. They are inseparable, soul mates for life, and icons till the end of time.

A journey that transcends the lives of two average women (transcends me!) as one simple getaway throws them into a string of messes, but through that, exciting and unexpected discoveries of their lust for life and true friendship emerge. Thelma and Louise realize they’re in it for the long run and will stop at nothing to protect each other. It’s quite a sight to see watching these two evolve and heal their past while racing to Mexico, leaving a fiery trail of fallen dominoes miles behind them. And a non offensive ending that definitely lives up to the hype.

I’ll admit, Ridley Scott’s attention to the smallest of details through witty dialogue and action, along with the expertise of our star cast, makes for an enthrallingly hilarious crime chase adventure with two wonderful, charm your pants off, leads that keep the story equally entertaining and sympathetic. Intentionally concocting the perfect balance of heaviness and lighthearted fun.

Yet another movie I just won’t shut up about.
